COVER PICTURE

FiA fire in the Bradbury Building at 3rd and Broadway, 11:30 A.M., May 3, 1947.  The total of 13 Engines, 5 Trucks and 2 Salvages, responded.  Due to the odd construction of the building with an all open area way from the floor to the roof and open balcony, a very fine piece of firefighting was done by confining the fire to the floor of orign, the 5th floor.
